The Kolkata Metro disclosed that there will be a lower number of services running on Independence Day to accommodate the day’s specific schedule. A total of 188 services are slated to operate on the Dakhineswar-New Garia line, with 94 services running in each direction, as per the official statement.

Furthermore, the Kolkata Metro detailed that regular metro services will be operational from 6:50 AM to 9:40 PM on the designated day along the Dakhineswar-New Garia line. Additionally, a special night service will be available at 10:40 PM, as per the usual schedule for that date.

In the Sector 5-Sealdah section of the East-West corridor, there will be 90 services instead of the typical 106 daily services. Similarly, in the Howrah Maidan-Esplanade section, 90 services will operate compared to the usual 130 services.
